Regional Sales Manager

REGIONAL SALES MANAGER – Southeast United States

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Regional Sales Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing business opportunities in the Southeast United States.

As the Regional Sales Manager, your primary objective will be to achieve and exceed sales targets for our portfolio of power transmission products, with a specific focus on high-precision servo and gearmotor solutions.

This strategic position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to develop relationships across various levels of an organization.

In addition to sales responsibilities, you may have the opportunity to oversee a team of sales personnel as our business grows.

To be considered for this role, you must reside in the Southeast United States, ideally in Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promote our high precision gearing product line to machine builders in the defined territory. Travel up to 40% of the time.
  • Drive sales growth by contacting OEMs, distributors, and strategic end user accounts. Maintain regular communication to ensure visibility throughout the region.
  • Establish and foster relationships with key stakeholders in client organizations to understand their needs and identify opportunities.
  • Create and execute a strategic sales and marketing plan for the region. Prioritize accounts based on revenue potential and probability of success.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery, and other contractual terms as part of the sales process. Work with internal engineering resources when custom solutions are required.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and represent our company at trade shows and events. Provide training as needed.
  • Identify and address any issues or conflicts within the sales channel. Collaborate with support functions to find viable solutions.
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials and provide feedback on market conditions.
  • Complete accurate reports on sales activity, forecasts, and expenses. Utilize CRM to track accounts and opportunities.
  • Train and support junior sales personnel. Delegate tasks as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or Marketing/Business Administration. Also, have a minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial automation sales.
  • Demonstrate a track record of successfully managing a territory and achieving sales goals within the motion control industry.
  • Possess a strong technical background in motion control products, including servomotors and precision gearboxes.
  • Have a solid understanding of servo system sizing and the ability to guide customers towards optimal solutions.
  • Show enthusiasm for working with a new product line.
  • Be dedicated to building positive business relationships and driving sales and profitability.
  • Exhibit excellent planning and organizational skills, utilizing modern technology for efficient operations.
  • Have strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
  • Pay great attention to detail and consistency.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and willing to learn new software as needed.
  • Exercise discretion, judgment, and confidentiality when necessary.
