Registered Funds Associate Attorney

With a strong reputation for providing exceptional counsel to leading financial services firms, asset managers, and investment funds, this group represents a diverse range of clients, from startups and boutique operations to some of the largest financial institutions worldwide. Their expertise in investment fund services has earned them recognition as a top-tier law firm by renowned industry publications such as Chambers USA.

Candidate Profile:

• Graduated from a top-tier law school with a stellar academic record.
• Active membership in the California Bar.
• 3-6 years of substantial experience in the field of registered investment companies.
• Thorough understanding of the Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act.
• Preferred familiarity with exchange-traded funds, variable insurance products, business development companies, investment advisers, or commodities.
• Experience in a large law firm, in-house, or a regulatory agency is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer expert guidance on complex matters related to registered investment companies, providing support to a diverse client base that spans from startups and boutique firms to global financial institutions.
• Give legal advice on regulatory compliance with the Investment Company Act, Investment Advisers Act, and other relevant regulations.
• Create, review, and negotiate fund documentation, disclosures, and other essential materials for mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, and other investment products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to oversee client engagements, offering legal insights and strategic direction for a variety of fund structures and transactions.
• Keep abreast of emerging trends in the financial services industry to proactively identify opportunities and address challenges for clients.
