RESPONSIBILITIES:
Multiple positions available for ongoing retail projects including remodels, expansions, and ground up construction. The Retail Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, managing field personnel and subcontractors, ensuring project completion within budget and schedule, maintaining quality workmanship, coordinating necessary inspections, and promoting construction safety practices. Candidates located anywhere in Florida or open to travel within the state and occasional night work will be considered.
- Coordinate and supervise construction activities
- Ensure completion of project on schedule, within budget, and with high-quality workmanship
- Create and maintain construction schedules and identify and resolve any issues
- Order materials and schedule inspections
- Understand project plans and specifications
- Maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and employees
- Prepare reports, schedules, and punch lists
- Promote job site safety and ensure regulatory compliance
- Maintain clean and organized job site and construction office
- Conduct progress meetings with all trades
- Review job cost reporting and assist with budget control
- Review subcontractor scopes of work and provide feedback
- Manage site logistics and establish staging plans
- Collaborate with Project Manager to schedule pre-construction meetings
- Review submittals for compliance and coordination
- Ensure quality work by all involved parties
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising and coordinating subcontractor trades
- Experience in scheduling, ordering, quality control, safety, and production in all construction phases
- Experience with ground up and/or retail upfit projects for big box retail, grocery stores, strip malls, etc.
- Knowledge and experience in field supervision, scheduling, ordering, safety, and production
- Preferred OSHA 30-hour Construction Training or willingness to obtain
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and basic mathematical skills
- Self-driven, team-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and ability to maintain good relationships with stakeholders
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
