RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is available due to multiple ongoing retail projects. The Retail Renovation Manager is responsible for overseeing all construction activities on site, managing field and subcontractor personnel, and ensuring timely and within-budget project completion. This includes maintaining high-quality standards, coordinating trade and field personnel, and implementing effective construction safety practices. The Retail Renovation Manager is also responsible for managing the job site office and finalizing projects. Qualified candidates can be based anywhere in the Carolinas, Georgia, or Eastern TN (with willingness to relocate), and must be open to local travel and potential night work.

  • Coordinate and supervise construction activities
  • Ensure completion of the project on schedule, within budget, and with high-quality workmanship that meets original plans and specifications
  • Maintain construction schedule, address and resolve problems
  • Order materials and schedule necessary inspections
  • Understand project plans and specifications
  • Build positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and employees
  • Prepare daily reports, safety reports, schedules, and oversee completion of the final punch list
  • Promote job site safety, enforce safe work practices, and address job site hazards
  • Ensure adherence to company safety policy and regulatory requirements, including storm-water compliance
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site, including the construction office
  • Conduct weekly progress meetings with all trades
  • Review job cost reporting and assist Project Manager in maintaining budget control
  • Review subcontractor scopes of work and provide feedback to Project Manager prior to contract award
  • Establish staging plans and manage site logistics
  • Collaborate with Project Manager in scheduling pre-construction meetings for critical path crafts
  • Review submittals for compliance and coordination
  • Ensure high-quality work by crafts, suppliers, and third-party contractors


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4 to 6 years of experience in crew management or supervision of remodel/upfit projects
  • Strong background in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, safety, and production across all construction phases
  • Previous experience in Retail Remodel or Retail Upfit for Publix and/or Walmart

REQUIRED SKILLS: Hands-on approach, strong leadership abilities
