THE ROLE:
Multiple positions available due to ongoing retail projects. The Retail Renovation Supervisor will oversee all on-site construction activities, manage subcontractor personnel, and ensure timely and budget-friendly project completion. This role requires maintaining high-quality standards, coordinating trade and field workers effectively, and implementing robust construction safety practices. The Supervisor will also manage the job site office and handle project closing. Candidates from the Carolinas, Georgia, or Eastern TN (open to relocation) are welcome. Local travel and some night work may be required.
- Coordinate and supervise construction activities
- Manage all field operations to meet project deadlines, budget requirements, and ensure quality workmanship as per plans and specifications
- Maintain construction schedule and resolve any issues that arise
- Order materials and schedule necessary inspections throughout the project
- Thorough understanding of project plans and specifications
- Foster positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and colleagues
- Prepare daily reports, safety reports, schedules, and oversee completion of final punch list
- Promote job site safety and rectify hazards
- Ensure compliance with company safety policy and regulatory requirements, including storm-water compliance
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, including the construction office
- Conduct weekly progress meetings involving all trades
- Review job cost reports and assist Project Manager in maintaining budget control
- Review subcontractor scopes of work and provide feedback to Project Manager prior to contract award
- Develop staging plans and manage site logistics
- Collaborate with Project Manager to schedule craft pre-construction meetings
- Provide feedback on reviewed submittals for compliance and coordination
- Ensure high-quality workmanship by supervising crafts, suppliers, employees, and third-party contractors
BACKGROUND PROFILE:
- 4 to 6 years of experience in crew management or supervision of remodel/upfit projects
- Proficient in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, safety, and production in all construction phases
- Experience in Retail Remodel or Retail Upfit, especially for Publix and/or Walmart
MUST BE HANDS-ON WITH STRONG LEADERSHIP SKILLS
