WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Due to multiple ongoing retail projects, we are seeking Retail Renovation Coordinators. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all construction activities at the site, managing field personnel and subcontractors to ensure timely and budgeted completion of projects. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining high-quality standards, coordinating trades and field personnel, and implementing effective construction safety practices. You will be in charge of managing the job site office and finalizing project close-out procedures. We welcome candidates from across the Carolinas, Georgia, or Eastern TN, who are open to local travel and occasional night work.
- Coordinate and supervise construction activities
- Ensure on-time and on-budget project completion while ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to original plans and specifications
- Create and maintain construction schedules, resolving any issues that arise
- Manage material orders and schedule inspections as necessary
- Thorough understanding of project plans and specifications
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and team members
- Prepare daily reports, safety reports, schedules, and oversee final punch list completion
- Promote job site safety, rectify hazards, and enforce company safety policies and regulations, including storm-water compliance
- Maintain clean and organized job site, including construction office
- Conduct weekly progress meetings involving all trades
- Review job cost reporting and assist Project Managers in budget control
- Evaluate subcontractor scopes of work and provide feedback prior to contract award
- Establish staging plans and manage site logistics
- Collaborate with Project Managers to schedule craft pre-construction meetings
- Provide feedback on reviewed submittals for compliance and coordination
- Ensure high-quality workmanship by crafts, suppliers, employees, and third-party contractors
YOUR BACKGROUND:
- 4 to 6 years of experience leading crews or supervising remodel/upfit projects
- Proficient in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, safety, and production throughout all construction phases
- Experience in Retail Remodeling or Upfit, preferably with Publix and/or Walmart
MUST BE HANDS-ON WITH STRONG LEADERSHIP SKILLS
