RESPONSIBILITIES:
Multiple positions available for ongoing retail projects. The Retail Renovation Coordinator will oversee all on-site construction activities, which includes managing field personnel and subcontractors to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion of the project. The coordinator will prioritize quality, coordinate trade and field workers, and enforce safe construction practices. Additionally, the coordinator will maintain the job site office and handle project closeouts. This position is open to candidates located in the Carolinas, Georgia, or Eastern TN, and who are willing to travel locally and work night shifts if required.
- Coordinate and supervise construction activities
- Ensure project completion according to schedule, budget, and specified quality standards, including any changes
- Create and maintain construction schedules, troubleshoot problems
- Order materials and schedule necessary inspections
- Understand project plans and specifications
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and colleagues
- Prepare daily and safety reports, schedules, and final punch lists
- Promote job site safety and address hazards
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Conduct weekly progress meetings with all trades
- Review job cost reports and assist Project Managers in budget control
- Review subcontractor scopes of work and provide feedback prior to contract award
- Establish staging plans and manage site logistics
- Collaborate with Project Managers to schedule pre-construction meetings
- Provide feedback on reviewed submittals for compliance and coordination
- Ensure high-quality work from crafts, suppliers, employees, and contractors
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4 to 6 years of experience leading and supervising crews in remodel/upfit work
- Strong skills in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, safety, and production in all construction phases
- Experience with Retail Remodel or Retail Upfit for Publix and/or Walmart
