Revenue Cycle Manager (Physician Billing Department)

Location: Buckeye Lake, OH (Hybrid – Onsite 1–2x/Month)

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in education, business, or a related field

• Minimum 5 years of experience in revenue cycle operations

• Physician billing, Epic, and leadership experience required

• Deep understanding of:

  • Patient registration, billing, A/R, cash management

  • Managed care contracts, financial reporting, and industry standards

• Ability to manage change, adapt priorities, and allocate resources effectively

• Strong team-building and communication skills

• Experience interpreting payer contracts and driving compliance

• Comfortable collaborating with physicians, insurance companies, case managers, and internal teams

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the physician billing department

• Oversee billing, follow-up, denial management, and revenue cycle optimization

• Plan, organize, and direct patient accounting functions for both hospital and professional billing

• Determine work schedules, resolve technical issues, educate staff, and monitor department performance

• Maintain compliance with payer regulations and ensure effective denial resolution

• Collaborate with leadership to drive continuous improvement and meet financial goals

Position Details:

• Full-time, hybrid role (on-site 1–2 times per month; candidates within 1–1.5 hours preferred)

• Reports to the Director of Revenue Cycle, a well-respected leader in the organization

• Manages a team of 28 direct reports within the physician billing department (single cost center)

• Salary Range: $77,000 – $105,000 (midpoint around $91,000 for candidates with ~10 years' experience)
