The Clinical Manager (Registered Nurse) is responsible for assisting the Director in leading the Emergency and Intensive Care Services Departments in various areas such as leadership, clinical practices, financial matters, and human resources. The role involves assisting in the planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation of nursing practices based on the Hospital's mission and the objectives of the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit. The individual must demonstrate a high level of critical thinking, technical expertise, integrity, accuracy, and compassionate nursing care within an interdisciplinary approach. Additionally, the Clinical Manager supports the Department Director in the development and assessment of nursing staff and maintaining the optimal functioning of the patient care unit. This role actively contributes to the nursing and hospital mission through supporting philosophy and objectives, educational activities, research, and quality improvement initiatives. The Clinical Manager serves as a role model for professional behavior and provides expertise in the delivery and supervision of nursing care as well as overseeing all department functions. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.A./B.S degree
  • Active California R.N. license
  • Healthcare Provider BLS certification required upon hire
  • Healthcare Provider ACLS certification required upon hire
  • PALS certification required within 6 months of hire
  • Preferably 1 – 2 years of managerial experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience
  • Able to provide safe, proficient nursing care for various critical care patient populations, including neonatal, pediatric, medical, surgical, correctional, and geriatric.
