Surgical Nurse Assistant
$145-175K + 50K Signing Bonus

$75,000 Sign-On bonus available

The Surgical Nurse Assistant will provide support and assist in the care of surgical patients. This includes assessing patients, planning and implementing their care, and evaluating their progress. The role involves coordinating with the healthcare team, managing patient care, and promoting cooperation among team members. The Surgical Nurse Assistant will follow established Standards of Nursing Practice and uphold the values of Service, People, Quality, Growth, and Cost. They will work under the primary operating surgeon's direction to ensure the perioperative care of patients undergoing surgery. The Surgical Nurse Assistant reports directly to the Director of Perioperative Services and operates within the facility's policies and guidelines. This role requires leadership and professionalism in fulfilling its responsibilities.

Requirements

Minimum:

(1) Graduated from a nursing school

(2) Completed an approved didactic course for Surgical Nurse Assistants

(3) Basic computer skills

(4) 3 years of experience in scrubbing and circulating in an acute care facility

(5) Annual surgeon review required

(6) Current Professional Liability insurance

Preferred:

(1) Two years of recent acute care RN experience in the operating room

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS

Minimum:

(1) Current California RN certificate

(2) AHA BLS-HCP, ACLS, CNOR

Preferred:

(1) PALS
