Registered Nurse Hospice Clinical Team Manager - Fresno, CA area

In charge of overseeing the overall management of the assigned clinical team, which consists mainly of registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, and hospice aides. Responsibilities include hiring, training, and evaluating employees; assigning and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues. Also responsible for supervising daily operations to support patient care services, coordination, and evaluation of team members. Performs supervisory duties in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

Oversees day-to-day operations to ensure quality patient care.

  • Coordinates staffing and scheduling to meet the needs of patients.
  • Collaborates with the Intake Department to ensure timely response to new referrals.
  • Conducts weekly IDG meetings for the assigned clinical team.
  • Conducts regular supervisory visits to ensure clinical competence of team members.
  • Performs Joint Commission Tracer field visits for staff members. Participates in Joint Commission survey readiness as assigned. Trains and guides staff in maintaining excellence according to the standards set by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).
  • Demonstrates expertise in the Hospice Medicare Benefit Program, including different levels of care.


  • Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program with a bachelor's degree in nursing required.
  • Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in the state of California.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Preferred experience of at least two years in a leadership role within a hospice environment.
  • Preferred certification in Hospice and Palliative Nursing.
