We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing team. As a PCU nurse, you will be responsible for providing patient-centered care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. You will work collaboratively with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.

• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care
• Deliver patient education to promote healthy behaviors and support their involvement in decision-making
• Monitor and document patients' responses to interventions and progress towards desired outcomes
• Coordinate and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care
• Accurately and efficiently carry out physicians' orders
• Promptly communicate any adverse or sudden changes in patients' conditions to the appropriate personnel
• Recognize and report adverse drug reactions
• Assess and manage patients' pain effectively
• Administer blood and blood products, and monitor for transfusion reactions
• Safely and efficiently use patient care equipment and adhere to infection control protocols
• Achieve stated goals related to job performance

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Current California Registered Nurse License
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
• At least 1 year of nursing experience

Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a Tele/PCC/Step Down department in an accredited hospital
• Ability to work full-time day shifts
• Current California Registered Nurse License
