This dynamic automation engineering design company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Robotic Automation Engineer for a full-time, permanent position. The company specializes in custom automation projects as well as the production of standardized products distributed globally. With a team of six engineers, this role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact and provides potential for growth within the organization.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Understanding and interpreting engineering drawings and documents
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues with robotic and automation equipment
- Programming and configuring robotic automation systems
- Integrating and programming vision systems
- Documenting work activities as required
- Participating in troubleshooting and testing procedures
- Supervising and overseeing the work of robotic equipment assemblers
To be considered for this position, the ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
- A minimum of three years of experience in manufacturing equipment, specifically in the areas of robotic automation or Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs)
- At least two years of experience in troubleshooting robotic automation systems
- At least two years of experience in robotic automation equipment programming and configuration
- At least two years of experience in programming and integrating vision systems
- At least two years of experience in initial setup and integration of robotic automated equipment
- At least two years of experience with Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs
- At least two years of experience utilizing Fronius or SKS for weld equipment integration
- Strong capability in understanding and interpreting engineering drawings and documents
- A proven track record of professional experience
- Must be a US citizen or Green Card holder
- Residence within a 45-minute commute of the Brown Deer, Wisconsin area
