Roofing Account Manger

Rapidly expanding roofing Company in Chicago. 2 open positions for Sales/Estimators. Immediate hiring.

- Proposal Management: Responding to RFPs, creating proposals, and securing contracts for commercial and industrial roofing projects

- Customer Relations: Building relationships with new and existing clients

- Sales Development: Identifying additional sales opportunities through maintenance and service calls

Specific Responsibilities:

· Estimating and Bidding:

o Analyze and comprehend project specifications from architectural drawings and bid documents.

o Compute cost estimates for labor and materials, and create itemized lists of materials

o Prepare quotes and bids for Re-Roofing or Consultant Re-Roofing based on field information.

o Assist in updating and enhancing the estimation and bidding process to adapt to market changes and business conditions.

· Product and Supplier Management:

o Liaise with manufacturer representatives to obtain current material pricing and assembly details.

o Stay updated on industry standards, processes, and techniques.

· Customer Satisfaction and Business Development:

o Maintain strong relationships and communication with prime contractors, owners, staff, and manufacturers to enhance sales and customer satisfaction.

· Project Coordination:

o Collaborate with project management to ensure smooth transition from accepted proposals to active projects.

o Maintain accurate and up-to-date project files.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

· Product Knowledge:

o Thorough understanding of various single-ply roofing materials and attachment methods.

o Ability to read and interpret specifications, bid documents, and perform project takeoffs.

o Proficiency in compiling and preparing project submittals.

· Analytical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts and utilize spreadsheets for basic calculations and ratio analyses.

· Project Management:

o Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational, administrative, logistical, and communication skills.

o Ability to calculate pricing and assess cost impacts for change orders.

o Data Management: Proficiency in software technology, including Excel and Word, for efficient project document management. Familiarity with DataForma is a plus.

o Team Collaboration: Capability to work independently and effectively within a team environment.

· Successful completion of a pre-hire criminal background check.

Experience:

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in Construction Sales or as an Estimator in the roofing or commercial construction industry.
