Safety Design Project Engineer
Responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and coordination of plastic injection projects for OEM automotive products in the interior and exterior sectors. This position is located in Eaton, OH.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Project Manager on creating design specifications and advancing product development.
• Possess expertise in 2D/3D CAD design, including surfacing solids, wireframe, and section view creation.
• Design, develop, and implement engineering change notices.
• Review and generate scheduled reports related to project development and design.
• Participate in customer and supplier meetings to collaborate on the development and design of new products.
• Provide support and assistance with prototype builds to ensure timely delivery to customers.
• Demonstrate knowledge and support of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) methodologies.
• Collaborate and assist in various programs and certifications.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• High proficiency in CAD software and program management, with a focus on 70% program management and 30% CAD.
• Extensive experience and knowledge of OEM and automotive manufacturing.
• Strong experience and knowledge of plastic injection for the design of interior and exterior OEM parts.
• Preference given to candidates with previous automotive experience.

- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Proficient with various MS Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint.
