Your Journey Begins With:
Prepare, review, and submit state and local sales tax returns for the Corporation while ensuring meticulous compliance.
Maintain a tax rate lookup table to uphold accurate tax rates at all times.
Independently assess sales & use tax on taxable purchases where invoice does not include applicable tax.
Compile tax accounting payment summaries and ensure timely submissions.
Reconcile sales tax-related General Ledger (GL) liability tax accounts for the Corporation.
Familiarize yourself with the Corporation's accounting systems and sales tax engine to enhance understanding of compliance processes.
Manage Sales & Use tax State audits and Exemption Certificate maintenance.
Utilize Excel and automation tools to streamline reporting processes and efficiently manage recurring tasks.
Identify enhancements and efficiencies within monthly sales tax processes.
Complete related ad hoc duties as required.
What We're Looking For: We are seeking a self-motivated individual with a drive for career advancement, not just a "candidate". Ideally, you will have at least 2 years of experience in U.S. sales and use tax, along with a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills are highly valued. This role offers the opportunity to showcase your multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment and make a significant contribution to our cohesive team. Strong Excel skills are a definite advantage.
