Sales Manager – Analytical Instruments (Houston) 1582

Location: Houston, TX

Our reputable client in Houston is seeking a talented Sales Manager for their Analytical Equipment division. This role will be based in our Houston office and will involve overseeing the rapid growth of our Southern Region business unit. You will be responsible for selling and supporting our range of precise measuring instruments, covering various physical, chemical, mechanical, and structural properties. The salary for this position ranges from $136,000 to $154,500, with an additional 20 - 30% bonus. In addition, we offer comprehensive benefits, a profit sharing contribution to your 401k, and a $10,000 anniversary bonus every five years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and nurture a team of field and inside sales representatives, as well as product specialists
  • Achieve sales targets and manage travel and expense budgets for the business unit
  • Provide daily support to the team
  • Report directly to the Vice President of Sales and Service for the Eastern Region

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales management experience, including direct sales experience, preferably within the analytical instrumentation or technical capital equipment industry
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coach and train the sales team on effective selling strategies, negotiation techniques, and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability to thrive in a fast-evolving organization and technology landscape
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred
  • Availability for up to 50% overnight travel
  • Valid driver’s license and passport
