Our esteemed client is seeking to fill the position of Sales Supervisor for Analytical Instruments. This role will be based in Los Angeles, CA and will be responsible for overseeing the operations of a rapidly expanding business unit in the Western Region. The primary focus of this position will be to sell and support our client's diverse range of high-precision measuring instruments, which cater to the physical, chemical, mechanical, and structural properties of various materials. The compensation package for this role includes a base salary range of $150,000 - $170,000, along with a bonus of 20 - 30%. Additionally, they offer comprehensive benefits, a profit-sharing contribution to your 401k, and a $10,000 anniversary bonus every five years.

Main responsibilities:

• Oversee and develop a team of field and inside sales representatives, as well as product specialists
• Meet sales targets and effectively manage travel and expense budgets for the business unit
• Provide support and assistance to the team on a daily basis
• Report directly to the Vice President of Sales and Service for the Eastern Region

Required skills and qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales management, including prior direct sales experience. Preference given to candidates with a background in analytical instrumentation or technical capital equipment
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to train and coach the sales team on effective selling strategies, negotiation techniques, and customer service
• Demonstrated organization skills and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving organization with changing technology
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred
• Willingness to travel overnight up to 50% of the time
• Valid driver's license and passport
