Sales Representative [ Flat roll products ]
Salary: $65,000-$75,000.00+ Sales Commissions + 12% 401K
Expected Earnings: Six Figures
Territory: Carolinas + Southern Region
We are seeking a dynamic Sales Representative to sell flat roll carbon steel products to clients in designated accounts or regions. This pivotal role involves developing and executing sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and fostering strong relationships with clients and industry stakeholders. This position can be based in any state.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred bachelor's degree or minimum three years of field sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior sales experience in the manufacturing industry required
- Must have experience in steel sales
EXPECTED SKILLS:
- Demonstrated success in driving sales growth, building client relationships, and closing deals
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and budget
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to persuade and influence others
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to travel extensively within the USA to meet with clients, attend industry events, and work a flexible schedule with significant local/overnight travel
- Standard reading, writing, and math skills
- Knowledge of the steel products or manufacturing industry
- Basic knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques, with emphasis on post-sale customer service
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and project a positive and trustworthy company image
- Proficient reasoning ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to facilitate sales objectives
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify new customers through phone calls, personal visits, internet research, networking, and business publications to increase sales and expand customer base
- Create and deliver sales presentations in a professional and effective manner by staying up-to-date on company activities, industry trends, and government regulations
- Prepare quotes and contracts for potential customers and maintain accurate pricing and configurations
- Manage and maintain all sales demonstration tools and applications
- Ensure accurate processing of customer orders and monitor customer needs to ensure continuous availability
- Provide post-sale customer service to maintain good customer relations and increase sales
- Share any relevant information that may benefit others in the company
