Sanitation Supervisor (Food Manufacturing)

📍 Location: Columbus, GA
🕙 Schedule: Wednesday–Sunday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
💼 Reports To: Sanitation Manager

🚨 Must-Haves:

• 4+ years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment

• Strong people management and leadership skills

• Ability to work flexible hours and use chemical cleaning agents (PPE required)

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s in Food Science or Microbiology preferred)

• Comfortable with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and direct sanitation personnel during 3rd shift operations

• Ensure sanitation procedures meet food safety and quality standards

• Conduct routine inspections and take corrective actions as necessary

• Oversee pest control applications and maintain related records

• Train and coach sanitation employees to uphold SOPs and safety protocols

• Evaluate team performance and drive accountability

• Support product quality assurance through daily evaluations

• Partner with production and engineering to maintain clean, safe equipment and facilities

• Foster positive employee relations and maintain compliance with labor agreements

• Complete and maintain all required documentation and reports

Preferred Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field

• Prior leadership experience in a unionized environment

• Strong training and communication abilities

• Ability to teach, coach, and motivate team members
