Supervisor of Sanitation on the Night Shift

Work hours: 10pm - 6am, Wednesday to Sunday.

Location: Columbus, GA

Reports To: Manager of Sanitation

Responsibilities in this role:

• Lead and supervise sanitation staff during the night shift
• Maintain and enforce cleaning standards to prevent product contamination
• Perform inspections and take corrective action as necessary
• Apply pest control measures when required
• Ensure timely completion of reports and documentation
• Evaluate performance of sanitation staff and provide necessary feedback or action
• Ensure adherence to work policies and procedures through effective training of sanitation staff
• Assist in monitoring product quality and compliance with standards on a daily basis
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment in accordance with plant safety programs
• Adhere to collective bargaining agreements to foster positive employee relations
• Collaborate with engineering and production departments for equipment and facility maintenance needs
• Perform assigned duties related to efficient operation

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
• 4 years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing setting
• Strong people management skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours
• Ability to work with cleaning agents and wear necessary personal protective equipment regularly

Additional skills and experience that we believe will contribute to success in this role:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or Microbiology
• Experience in a leadership position
• Ability to train and share technical knowledge with operations employees
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
