As an Assistant in Speech-language pathology, you will provide crucial support to our certified speech-language pathologists. You will be involved in assessing and treating patients with speech, language, fluency, and voice disorders. In addition, you will assist with patient care, research, and the implementation of speech and language programs. Your role will also involve gathering data to evaluate program quality.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Administering speech and language screenings as directed by the supervising Speech Language Pathologist.
• Assisting in the execution of treatment plans for patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
• Monitoring patient progress and providing reports to the supervising Speech Language Pathologist.
• Facilitating the development of communication and feeding skills through individual and group therapy sessions.
• Preparing therapy materials and equipment.
• Maintaining and cleaning therapy equipment and materials.
• Attending meetings and training sessions as required.
• Documenting patient progress and treatment sessions according to clinical and legal requirements.
• Communicating with patients and their families regarding treatment plans, progress, and goals.

Requirements:

• Active license in speech therapy
• Compassionate attitude
• Outstanding personality and interpersonal skills
• At least 1 year of professional experience in speech therapy
