Location: Marion, IN (100% Onsite – Local candidates preferred; driving distance acceptable)

🔍 About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Architect who blends deep technical expertise with hands-on field experience. You’ll take the lead on nonprofit-focused projects—from churches and libraries to schools and affordable housing—and help elevate the next generation of architects through mentorship and leadership.

This role is 100% onsite in Marion, IN, and ideal for someone looking to make a long-term impact with future ownership potential.

✅ Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Structural Engineering with design experience

• 10+ years of experience (licensed preferred) or 15+ years without a license

• Strong background in construction and construction documentation

• Hands-on field experience — understands real-world building, not just drafting

• Proven ability to mentor and develop junior architects

• Proficiency in Revit (recent usage required)

• Willing and able to work onsite in Marion, IN every weekday

💡 Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Licensed Architect or Structural Engineer (not required if experience is strong)

• Experience with nonprofit projects (churches, schools, healthcare, housing)

• Knowledge of bidding and procurement for nonprofit clients

• Willingness to commute from nearby areas

• Interest in future ownership/partnership opportunities

💼 What You’ll Do

Project Management & Technical Leadership

• Oversee the creation of construction documents and bid packages

• Ensure buildable, cost-effective, high-quality designs

• Guide clients through design, permitting, and construction

Mentorship & Team Leadership

• Train and mentor junior staff in construction best practices

• Share hands-on experience to bridge the gap between drafting and execution

• Foster a collaborative open-studio environment

Field Collaboration

• Conduct site visits and resolve construction issues

• Act as a go-to resource on materials, methods, and code compliance

Leadership Path

• Work closely with retiring Partner Jeff Schrader and Limited Partner Michelle Doyle

• Collaborate with incoming majority owner Jennifer Loften

• Opportunity to step into a leadership role and become a Limited Partner

💵 Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 (commensurate with experience)

• Bonuses: Annual bonus + profit-sharing
