Senior Buyer

Location: Stuttgart, AR
  • As the Lead Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging with approved vendors both domestically and internationally. Your primary role will be to place purchase orders based on the product requirements established by different departments within the organization.

  • In this position, you will evaluate bids, select and recommend suppliers, and negotiate the best prices, quality, and service. Your expertise in supplier selection and negotiation will be crucial in ensuring the organization's procurement needs are met efficiently and cost-effectively.

  • Expedition of parts or materials in short supply or critical demand will be one of your key responsibilities. Your ability to handle urgent procurement situations will contribute to effective operations and avoid any disruptions in the supply chain.

  • Market analysis and competitive evaluation is an integral part of this role. You will be tasked with conducting comprehensive assessments to identify potential vendors and evaluate their offerings against the organization's needs and criteria.

  • Being an effective negotiator, you will engage with suppliers to settle various issues including damage claims, rejections, material returns, over-shipments, cancellations, and engineering changes. Your ability to resolve conflicts and find mutually beneficial solutions will contribute to successful supplier relationships and efficient processes.

  • Supplier site visits will also be conducted by you, where you will assess their production capability, performance, and delivery. This data will be crucial in determining their suitability as suppliers and ensuring consistent and reliable procurement.
