Senior Catering Event Manager

Position: Senior Catering Event Coordinator
Location: Boston, MA
Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 per year
We are currently in search of an experienced Senior Catering Event Coordinator to join the dynamic team at a local stadium. As a key leadership role, the Senior Catering Event Coordinator will oversee the catering operations at a large account or coordinate multiple catering outlets at a single account. This position will be responsible for the planning, execution, and advising of all catering orders and special events. Additionally, the Senior Catering Event Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all events are implemented according to customer expectations.

Responsibilities:
  • Create comprehensive catering solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and customers
  • Consistently deliver high-quality planning and execution for all events
  • Coordinate the delivery of prepared food based on banquet event orders
  • Assist clients in planning special events and provide innovative solutions to meet their requirements
  • Train and supervise catering employees, ensuring adherence to standards and quality in presentation
  • Generate and provide completed Banquet Event Orders to the team, ensuring quality assurance for all requests
  • Achieve sales, food, and labor targets while managing department budgets
  • Orchestrate the successful execution of catering events of various sizes, including staffing and management
  • Ensure accurate reporting of all catering-related revenue, expenses, and receivables
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and provide leadership to the Catering team
  • Ensure compliance with all food, occupational, and environmental safety policies
Note: This position may require flexibility in job duties and may include new assignments without formal notice.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • 1-3 years of management experience
  • Prior experience in event planning and catering
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Availability to work flexible, event-based hours
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Completion of Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
  • Capability to stand for extended periods
