Job Title: Senior Cost Accounting Analyst – Work Remotely with In-Office Days

Location: Le Mars, Iowa

Salary: $80-90K

Job Summary of the Senior Cost Accounting Analyst: We are seeking a Senior Cost Accounting Analyst to manage plant inventory, coordinate corporate accounting operations, maintain accurate inventory records, analyze standard costs, and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulations.

Qualifications of the Senior Cost Accounting Analyst:

· Conduct inventory valuations and reserve calculations

· Collaborate with Operations and Purchasing to establish standard costs

· Calculate resin-related rebates, credits, and analyze monthly usage

· Perform cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis

· Reconcile inventory accounts and execute related account reconciliations

· Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve profitability through process and policy changes

· Manage variance calculations and intercompany margin elimination

· Oversee annual physical inventory and develop cycle count process

· Provide summaries of physical inventory adjustments

· Ensure accuracy of item master and validate consistent field population

· Review pricing and margins, and provide analysis

· Monitor inventory transactions and ensure accuracy in units, costs, and types

· Assist with acquisitions and system integrations related to standard costs and inventory management

Responsibilities of the Senior Cost Accounting Analyst:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• At least 3 years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger, reporting, costing, and public accounting

· Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and ERP systems

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Advanced understanding of standard costs in a manufacturing setting

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

· Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities

· Fluency in written and spoken English

This is a Hybrid-Remote Role with working 3 days in the office and 2 days remote from home.
