Job Summary of the Lead Design Engineer: The Lead Design Engineer will be an integral part of the Engineering team, contributing to the design of mechanical products and systems that meet customer expectations and requirements.

Qualifications of Lead Design Engineer:
• Successfully complete engineering projects based on customer specifications.
• Conduct thorough research and apply mechanics, hydraulics, and materials principles to evaluate mechanical systems and products.
• Create testing methods and conduct feasibility studies to ensure system and product capabilities are met.
• Develop mechanical products based on customer needs.
• Optimize manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for cost reduction and process improvement purposes.
• Design testing methods to ensure system and product quality.
• Prepare comprehensive product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
• Provide engineering support and respond to inquiries and requests.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations to uphold product and company reputation.
• Maintain accurate system and product database through data entry and computer programming.

Responsibilities of the Lead Design Engineer:
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Prior experience in designing heavy equipment, heavy haul or heavy trailer, tractors, farming or agriculture engineering is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in the field.
• Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Strong skills in designing welding steel structures, steel design, and hydraulics.
• Experience in perimeter design modeling.
• Demonstrated contribution to the success of design projects.
• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and design software systems.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
• Analytical and technical proficiency to understand business practices and recommend automation opportunities.
• Functional understanding of cost accounting.
• Innovative mindset and familiarity with lean enterprise principles and practices.
• Quick learner of new tools and systems.
• Proactive problem-solving ability.
