Senior Estimator – Construction
The Senior Project Estimator will work out of the Fort Wayne office managing construction estimating projects to ensure timely and accurate cost and feasibility analyses. This is an on-site role requiring collaboration with internal teams and external partners, including architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and documents for commercial construction estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients on project requirements.
- Evaluate subcontractor bids and material costs to create detailed estimates.
- Utilize estimating software for effective estimation processes.
- Prepare bid proposals, complying with regulations and contracts.
- Attend pre-construction meetings and site visits to assess feasibility.
- Track and monitor project costs, providing updates as needed.
- Maintain organized records and stay informed about market trends and methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and building codes.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Destiny, Bluebeam, Procore, Excel).
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, alongside strong verbal and written communication.
- Organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Certification from organizations like ASPE or AACE is a plus.
