This position involves assisting with the entire spectrum of U.S. federal, state, and local tax compliance processes, directly reporting to the U.S. Tax Principal.


  • Collaborate on U.S. federal, state, and local tax compliance: including the preparation of income tax returns, calculation of federal figures, state apportionment data, tax credits, and attributes. Additionally, manage income tax, OH CAT (Commercial Activity Tax), property tax, and sales and use tax compliance.
  • Assist in preparing the Company’s U.S. federal quarterly and annual tax provision: Work closely with the global tax team to ensure accurate ASC 740 income tax calculations (quarterly and annual provisions) for U.S. income taxes. Activities include reviewing deferred income taxes, current income taxes, and effective tax rate inputs.
  • Support the preparation of U.S. federal, state accruals and taxes, property tax, franchise tax, and sales & use tax accruals: Analyze tax accounts and generate journal entries to ensure accurate balances. Prepare account reconciliations.
  • Facilitate tax planning strategies to lessen the impact of tax expense on cash and earnings: Collaborate with the Tax team to coordinate tax implications on operations and business structuring. Identify risk areas regarding compliance and financial reporting. Conduct research, create documentation, and provide conclusions on tax-related matters.
  • Assist with tax audits and related activities: Prepare information for tax authorities and collaborate with global tax team members during federal and state income tax, property tax, and sales and use tax audits. Compile summaries of audit status and contribute to the development and execution of audit defense strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Master’s degree in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, or MBA preferred
  • At least 5 years of corporate tax experience (or 3 years with a master's degree) in industry and/or public accounting firm, possessing technical knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local taxation.
Experience with US GAAP ASC 740 required, and familiarity with SEC regulations is preferred
