Technical Service Representative - Security Systems

Purpose of the Position:

Join a team dedicated to delivering exceptional installation, technical support, repair, and maintenance services for mechanical and electromechanical access control, CCTV, surveillance, intrusion detection systems, and various other security devices at client sites.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

- Visit client locations to perform testing, configuration, installation, and preventive maintenance on commercial and detention-grade locks, access control systems, intercommunications, and video surveillance systems.

- Anticipate 50% overnight travel with approximately 2-3 overnight stays per week. Most weekends will be spent at your residence.

- Participate in rotational on-call schedules for emergency response as necessary.

- Conduct installation, servicing, and troubleshooting of low voltage and electromechanical systems.

- Monitor and report work performed, completing required documentation.

Are You Qualified or Have the Experience?

- Possess mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Physically capable of climbing ladders, working at considerable heights, and lifting objects weighing more than 50 lbs.

- Willingness to travel overnight to remote locations.

- Able to pass standard background checks mandated by clients.

- Enthusiastic about learning, retaining, and applying new information while effectively collaborating with teams.

- Proficient in blueprint interpretation and wiring diagrams.

- Hold a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

- Strong understanding of electronics, circuits, and low voltage systems.

- Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office applications and other online services.

- Interest and aptitude in software configuration and programming, especially related to surveillance and access control systems.

- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

These Qualifications Would be Good to Have:

- Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience in automation controls, HMI/SCADA, electronics, mechanical, or electrical engineering.

- Fluent in PLC/Ladder Logic and Aveva programming.

- Experience in servicing the government and corrections marketplace.
