Senior Human Resources Generalist

Schedule: Onsite position, Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM

Overview

As the Senior HR Specialist, you will play a crucial role in shaping our organization's culture. This is a strategic and hands-on position that offers a unique opportunity to rebuild and influence our workplace culture. You will lay the foundation for HR practices that foster a community of service, leading by example and inspiring others.

The Senior HR Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the HR function for our organization. This includes talent acquisition, management, and development; compensation and benefits administration; employee relations; ensuring legal compliance; and aligning our talent strategy with our mission and vision. Reporting directly to the President & CEO, this position does not currently have any direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition & Management: Lead with a strategic and compassionate approach, identifying and developing the talents needed to advance our mission. Recruitment will be a key focus initially.
  • Employee Relations: Create a positive and inclusive organizational culture through your actions and policies.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Develop and implement programs that support and recognize the importance of our staff in fulfilling our mission.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure our organization operates in full legal compliance and upholds our moral obligations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least two years of HR experience, with preference given to candidates with SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certifications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management, or a related field (or an additional four years of experience in lieu of a degree).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms.
  • A passion for service and a strong commitment to making a positive impact.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to execute hands-on HR functions independently.
  • Demonstrated experience in HR and building a positive workplace culture.
  • Strong empathy and ability to address complex employee needs.
  • Ability to work independently and think creatively.
