A leading poultry processing company is actively seeking an experienced Lead Industrial Engineer to join their team. This position is based in Atlanta, GA but allows for remote work with occasional travel required. As a Lead Industrial Engineer, your main responsibilities will encompass:

- Developing and taking ownership of engineered standards for the organization

- Driving process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

- Designing the physical layout of workspaces, including equipment arrangement and storage areas

- Optimizing the flow of materials, information, and resources within the supply chain

- Managing inventory flow through order, receipt, storage, and shipping processes

- Conducting statistical analysis and implementing quality control measures to ensure products meet specified standards

- Evaluating worker movements and processes through time and motion studies to enhance efficiency

- Overseeing project management activities to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must possess a bachelor's degree in either Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering. A minimum of 5 years' experience in an industrial engineering role within a manufacturing environment is also necessary. Furthermore:

- Previous experience in the food manufacturing industry is required

- Demonstrated expertise in supporting manufacturing supply chains involving multiple processes

- Proven track record of leading industrial engineering projects across various functions

- Six-sigma Green Belt certification is preferred

- Strong analytical skills for data research, reporting, and interpretation

- Ability to train facility managers on various industrial engineering topics and tools

- Familiarity with computer programs such as AutoCAD, SAP, Simulation Modeling, and Time Management Software is highly advantageous
