IMPACT
As the Finance and Accounting IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial and accounting systems and services, utilizing a range of applications (both SaaS and On Premise), including governance and compliance. Your strategic leadership will play a key role in the digital transformation of the finance and accounting functions, particularly in implementing Fusion financials, as you collaborate closely with business leadership.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
- This position entails managing a team of four individuals, which involves appropriate staffing, people management, performance management, overall scheduling, and capacity planning.
- Lead the IT Finance and Accounting business applications team, providing strategic guidance, overseeing implementation and maintenance, offering support, and driving continuous improvement.
- Coach, mentor, and manage direct reports, ensuring the successful implementation, maintenance, and support of all relevant software.
- Take ownership of system configurations, integrations, workflows, reporting, and analytics within the Finance and Accounting domain.
- Participate in and provide strategic leadership for cross-functional programs and projects. Analyze and document changes, communicate them effectively, design and develop solutions that consider the overall impact on current business processes, integrations, and reports involving cross-business users.
- Manage service levels, including SLAs, incident and enhancement ticket management, and the timely delivery of smaller projects.
- Collaborate with development, integration, and testing teams to deliver quality solutions and achieve timely results.
- Evaluate quarterly patches, analyze new or changed functionality, develop test plans, conduct unit testing, and coordinate testing activities with business users to ensure business continuity and continuous improvement.
- Participate in M&A activities and assess their impact on current business processes, integrations, and reports. Work closely with cross-functional business groups to lead and execute integration plans.
IDEAL PROFILE
- Possess 10+ years of progressively responsible and relevant work experience.
- Hold 4+ years of experience in a leadership/management role, overseeing the IT Finance and Accounting business applications team.
- Demonstrate expertise in implementing and supporting various ERP applications, particularly Oracle EBS, and have experience leading a digital transformation from Oracle EBS to the Cloud (Fusion Financials) within the finance and accounting fields.
- Have experience in utilizing and managing SaaS applications in the finance domain.
- Proven ability to serve as a trusted advisor to the business and comfortable challenging requests. Prior consulting experience is a plus.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and thrive in a changing environment.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey concepts clearly and concisely to management and cross-functional teams or departments.
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, or Information Technology from an accredited university.
- Located in the Birmingham area or willing to relocate upon hire.
