Senior Litigation Attorney – Real Estate & Civil Litigation

A growing and dynamic real estate law firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney to join our Wisconsin-based litigation team. You’ll handle a diverse range of civil litigation matters, including real estate disputes, enforcement of property restrictions, construction defects, contract disputes, and other property-related issues. This role offers high client visibility, courtroom exposure, and the chance to contribute to a collaborative, success-driven team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently manage a diverse caseload of litigation matters

• Draft legal documents including complaints, motions, discovery, and appellate briefs

• Conduct and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and handle all aspects of trial prep

• Represent clients in hearings, trials, and mediations

• Advise clients regularly on case status, strategy, and legal risks

• Maintain accurate case records and billing through electronic task tracking systems

• Attend and chair client meetings, including corporate governance sessions as needed

• Provide leadership within the litigation team and mentor junior attorneys and support staff

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in the state of Wisconsin

• Minimum 8 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in real estate, contract law, or governmental litigation

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort in public speaking and client interaction

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice software

• Willingness to work occasional evenings/weekends to accommodate client meetings

• Demonstrated work ethic, organizational skills, and professionalism
