Position Overview:

We are in search of a Senior Materials Testing Technician with 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in testing materials such as soils, concrete, and asphalt. If you are detail-oriented, have the ability to decipher complex test results, and are passionate about making an impact in construction projects, we would like you to join our team. This position will give you the opportunity to work on significant infrastructure ventures, including projects for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). While certifications are not mandatory, they are highly valued and will be considered a bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct tests on materials including soils, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates. Ensure that the results meet industry standards and project requirements.

• Guarantee compliance with FDOT guidelines and other regulatory standards. This will help ensure the integrity of transportation infrastructure projects.

• Analyze test results, prepare detailed reports, and provide recommendations to inform project decisions.

• Calibrate, maintain, and ensure the proper functionality of testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.

• Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and colleagues to provide reliable data for ongoing projects.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety protocols and regulations.

• Provide training and guidance to junior technicians to maintain consistency and ensure high-quality results across the team.

• Accurately document test procedures, results, and any deviations. Submit reports in a timely and organized manner.

Required Qualifications:

• 3-5+ years of experience in materials testing, including soils, concrete, and asphalt.

• Strong understanding of materials testing procedures, industry standards, and the ability to interpret and report results accurately.

• Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and a focus on quality assurance.

• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced testing environment while balancing multiple projects efficiently.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with engineers, project managers, and fellow technicians.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey test results and collaborate across teams.

Preferred Certifications (Not Required):

• ACI Aggregate Base Testing Technician
• ACI Aggregate Testing Technician
• ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician
• FDOT CTQP LBR Technician

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Capable of lifting and carrying materials and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods during testing.
