Senior Mechanical Engineer for 2D AutoCAD – Pay is up to $90,000
Lead Mechanical Designer
- 70% of the job involves 2D AutoCAD design, while the remaining 30% is focused on management
- Extensive experience with 2D AutoCAD mechanical design in a manufacturing environment (minimum of 8 years) is a necessity
- Must hold an engineering degree and have at least 4 years of experience leading a team of engineers
- Must be dedicated to designing exclusively in 2D AutoCAD (as per customer requirements)
- Compensation ranges from $75,000 to $90,000 per year
- Candidates must be either United States citizens or Green Card holders
- Remote work is not an option for this role
- This is a full-time position

We are currently seeking a Senior 2D AutoCAD Mechanical Engineer to join our respected industrial manufacturing company based in Richfield, WI. Our organization specializes in the production of environmentally friendly products that promote reduced pollution, fossil fuel usage, and costs. With a history of 40 years of success, there has never been a layoff and our sales continue to grow. Our modern and clean manufacturing facility offers an employee-friendly environment, free of politics and drama. As we continue to expand, this position has become available to support our growth. No travel is required for this role.
Due to the consistent increase in demand for our products, the successful candidate may have the opportunity to advance into a lead role. Key responsibilities for this position will include:
- Managing staff for up to 30% of the time
- Designing industrial heat transfer systems using 2D AutoCAD for approximately 70% of the time
- Occasionally utilizing 3D AutoCAD to design industrial heat transfer systems based on customer requests
- Producing a variety of engineering drawings
- Working with all of our company products
To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- At least 8 years of professional experience in 2D AutoCAD mechanical design within a manufacturing environment
- A minimum of 4 years leading a team of engineers
- Hold an engineering degree
- Strong preference for candidates dedicated to working exclusively with 2D AutoCAD, as customer designs require
- Demonstrate a stable work history
- Must be a US citizen or green card holder
- Reside within a 45-minute drive of the Richfield, Wisconsin area
