Senior Oracle Middleware Engineer

Location: Raleigh, NC

The Lead Middleware Developer role encompasses the design, implementation, and deployment of various components to support the business requirements. This position involves working with both PL/SQL and Microsoft T-SQL, and the ability to work independently or in small teams.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop programs, services, and applications using MS Visual Studio in a .NET and C# environment
  • Utilize Oracle to integrate internal and external applications by designing and implementing solutions
  • Create documentation for requirements and technical specifications
  • Participate in QA and user acceptance testing processes
  • Troubleshoot issues with ETL processes, software infrastructure, and supporting systems

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / MIS or equivalent experience (Master's degree preferred)
  • At least 5 years of experience with Oracle and related technologies
  • Proficiency in writing stored procedures/functions, creating tables, indexes, and views in Oracle PL/SQL for a minimum of 5 years
  • Experience in Microsoft C# .NET development, including windows forms, window services, restful services, and batch programs
  • Strong knowledge and experience in ETL, middleware, APIs, and REST web services for application integration
  • At least 1 year of experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell
  • Ability to problem solve, pay attention to detail, and understand the impact on business operations
  • Capability to work independently or collaboratively with customers and internal users in a professional manner
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and meet project deadlines
  • Experience in managing project timelines, setting objectives, and completing projects successfully
  • Effective communication of technical terms to non-technical stakeholders
  • Continually update skills and knowledge in relevant areas
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to quickly adapt to new technologies

  • Contribute to the development of the company's IT enterprise architecture in the long-term strategic direction
  • Exhibit initiative, inspire team members, and deliver high-quality work within deadlines


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with ERP systems like JD Edwards Enterprise One 9.1 & JDE 9.2 table design
  • Proficient with code versioning tools, preferably Git
  • Familiarity with Middleware solutions
  • Understanding of application and database security
Experience in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
