A leading poultry processor located in Dillon, SC is seeking an experienced Principal Plant Engineer. This position is responsible for providing daily technical leadership and guidance to the Operations team. The main goal is to ensure maximum uptime of equipment and systems through the implementation of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) principles. In addition, the Principal Plant Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

· Develop and implement comprehensive technical strategies and tactics focused on operations, safety, energy usage, engineering projects, and maintenance improvement.

· Establish a culture of safety throughout the organization and ensure that safety measures are incorporated into all aspects of operations.

· Develop and lead engineering and maintenance strategies for the plant to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure the facility's structures and infrastructures are properly maintained.

· Collaborate with the Senior Director of Engineering to create and adhere to technical expense budgets for the plant.

· Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as corporate policies and codes by working with relevant agencies and departments.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a BS Degree in an engineering or technical discipline, although 5 years of relevant work experience can be considered in lieu of a degree. Other qualifications include:

· Previous experience in plant engineering or project engineering/management within the food industry.

· Proficiency in plant Computerized Maintenance Management System (Maximo) and automation experience.

· General knowledge of AutoCAD and the ability to work with drawings and update them when necessary.

· Willingness to travel for vendor visits, training seminars, and corporate meetings.
