We are currently seeking an experienced Principal Plant Engineer for our further processing plant located in Concord, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and direction to our Operations team. Your main objective will be to ensure maximum equipment/system uptime by implementing effective Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) strategies. Furthermore, your responsibilities will include:

· Developing and implementing comprehensive plant technical strategies and tactics focused on operations, safety, energy usage, engineering projects, and maintenance improvement.

· Promoting and integrating a culture of "safety" in all areas of operations and ensuring that the entire technical organization delivers results aligned with this strategy.

· Developing and leading specific engineering and maintenance strategies for the plant to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring the facility's infrastructure and systems meet operational needs.

· Collaborating with the Senior Director of Engineering to develop and adhere strictly to the plant's technical expense budgets.

· Collaborating with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as corporate insurance, risk management, and other organizations to ensure compliance with codes and policies.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates with a strong background in engineering/technical disciplines, preferably holding a BS Degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 5 additional years of related work experience will be considered. Additionally, qualified candidates should possess the following:

· Experience in plant engineering or project engineering/management, preferably within the food industry.

· Proficiency in automation and familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (such as Maximo) used in a plant setting.

· General knowledge of AutoCAD, including working with drawings, dimensioning, and updating equipment installations and relocations.

· Willingness to travel to vendors, training seminars, other plants, and corporate offices for technical strategy meetings and planning sessions.
