Senior Project Architect (RA)

Location: Houston, TX

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conducts extensive research and analysis to develop innovative building projects for clients, incorporating expertise in architectural design, construction methods, zoning regulations, and building codes, as well as knowledge of building materials and systems.
  • Creates visually captivating conceptual plans, renderings, and documents.
  • Collaborates with engineers to integrate various design elements, ensuring cohesive and unified project layouts for client approval.
  • Utilizes computer-assisted design software and equipment to produce highly detailed project designs and plans.
  • Prepares construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit software.
  • In partnership with the Project Manager, oversees and supervises the activities of design teams responsible for creating drawings and specification documents during different project phases.
  • Acts as the primary point of contact with the Director of Architecture and project managers.
  • Works harmoniously with multidisciplinary design teams to ensure seamless project coordination.
  • Conducts research and coordination efforts to select suitable materials and products for project specifications.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • Must hold a bachelor's or master's degree in architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Possesses at least 3 years of architectural experience, ideally within the hiring firm's specific field.
  • Demonstrates comprehensive understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, construction practices, building systems, and site requirements.
  • Proficiency in an array of software applications including Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office suite is mandatory.
  • Preferred qualification includes LEED AP certification.
