Senior Project Engineer

JOB OPPORTUNITY

POSITION SYNOPSIS:

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to oversee and carry out major equipment projects in a manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, and management of these projects according to company standards, as well as the maintenance of project processes, budget, and master project list.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively plan, coordinate, and monitor internal projects from start to finish
  • Ensure that project goals and objectives are achieved within the prescribed time frame and budget by coordinating and directing activities
  • Assess project progress, identify issues, and provide resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and satisfaction targets
  • Regularly review project status and budgets, coordinate schedules, and prepare status reports
  • Coordinate the operational aspects of assigned projects
  • Collaborate with internal engineering groups to develop and implement project plans
  • Drive manufacturing improvements in various areas such as process stabilization, quality control, labor efficiency, and waste reduction
  • Evaluate proposed projects and recommend structural, mechanical, electrical, and operational requirements for senior management approval
  • Implement design changes and troubleshoot plant issues
  • Evaluate vendor proposals, designs, and costs objectively and timely
  • Develop supporting documentation, reports, and process flow diagrams
  • Generate drawings, procedures, and training documents related to project implementations
  • Manage material procurement for assigned projects
  • Supervise the installation of all engineering projects in compliance with project specifications
  • Coordinate and assess contractor and vendor activity, ensuring compliance with company standards
  • Leverage plant resources effectively to deliver project results
  • Handle complex issues independently and without supervision

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, preferably in project engineering roles
