Lead Project Engineer

Job Description

The Lead Project Engineer assists the Project Manager and Project Superintendent in achieving project goals. This includes setting goals, planning, communicating, organizing, implementing, and tracking.

Regular Job Duties

• Review, organize, and distribute project submittals.
• Collaborate on schedule preparations and updates.
• Manage the work of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Provide guidance and support to less experienced Project Engineers.
• Communicate with project owners regarding various matters and concerns.
• Maintain technical submittal list, permits, and project progress schedule.
• Solicit pricing from subcontractors and vendors, including change orders.
• Calculate pricing and issue contracts and purchase orders.
• Schedule subcontractor work and supplier deliveries.
• Assist with billing, cash flow projections, and change order processing.
• Maintain a well-organized work area.
• Prepare reports, correspondence, and project documents.
• Effectively present information to customers, clients, and employees.
• Read and interpret safety rules, instructions, and manuals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Three or more years of relevant experience.
• Moderate to high proficiency in operating Primavera 6.
• Moderate to high proficiency in operating MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
