Our company, a top global civil contractor, is seeking a talented Lead Project Engineer for our Savannah, GA location to oversee a prominent $260M project in the Heavy Civil and Site Development sector.

Experience with medium to large-scale heavy civil projects, including roadways and bridges, with a minimum budget of $50M.

Thoroughly review and understand all contract terms and specifications.

* Collaborate with Project Manager, Project Superintendent, and Project Engineer as needed.

* Contribute to schedule preparation and updates.

* Assist in quantity reporting, project cost analysis, and forecasting.

* Obtain pricing from subcontractors and vendors, including change orders.

* Manage equipment requisitions and material deliveries as necessary.

* Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and workforce to resolve project challenges and conflicts.

* Aid in monthly billing, cash flow projections, and change order processing.

* Oversee document control, including submittal schedules, contract documents, and project record drawings.

* Review daily reports from the Heavy Job system for accuracy.

* Create and maintain a comprehensive technical submittal list.

* Adhere to notice requirements such as inspections, survey staking, joint measurements, utility adjustments, and testing.

* Issue necessary correspondence to subcontractors and vendors regarding changes to plans or specifications.

* Assist with project closeout procedures.

* Undertake additional assignments as directed by the Project Manager.

Job Requirements:

· Possess a B.S. in Civil Engineering, with a focus on Construction Engineering and Management (CEM).

· Have at least 5 years of experience in the civil construction industry (both office and field roles).

· Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Proficient in Excel, Word, and Primavera 6.
