Senior Project Manager (Construction)

Position Overview:
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive oversight across all phases of construction projects, ensuring coordination of personnel, materials, and equipment, while maintaining strict adherence to project specifications and timelines. This role serves as a vital point of communication with clients, internal teams, and subcontractors, ensuring projects progress smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of construction projects from start to finish, ensuring schedules, specifications, and client expectations are met

• Support Estimators and manage all phases of the contract process

• Compile quantities for billing, working closely with field superintendents and foremen to gather accurate measurements and quantities

• Oversee all project-related accounts receivable activities, including reviewing and reconciling monthly quantities, preparing pay applications, and monitoring payment status

• Lead cost control efforts, reviewing and approving project expenses and labor, conducting financial audits at project close-out, and implementing best practices for cost savings

• Submit material data sheets and schedules to clients in a timely manner

• Attend pre-bid and pre-work meetings as needed, and effectively interpret and communicate client blueprints, specifications, and contract documents

• Develop project phasing plans and secure necessary Traffic Control plans and permits

• Ensure all project locates and regulatory requirements are obtained and met

• Provide change order information to the estimating department for pricing and maintain clear communication with clients and internal teams regarding changes

• Work directly with client representatives to confirm billing quantities and coordinate all aspects of project execution with subcontractors and vendors

• Perform special tasks and projects as assigned by management

Qualifications & Skills:

• Ability to consistently meet all safety requirements on job sites, including proper use of PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, high-visibility vest, etc.)

• Strong team player, capable of collaborating with a diverse range of individuals

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
