Senior MEP Construction Superintendent - Commercial
Skills and Experience:
In this role, you will lead, supervise, and coordinate the work of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) subcontractors and/or trade partners. The Senior MEP Superintendent is responsible for ensuring workplace safety, meeting project schedules, maintaining work quality, managing the budget, and overseeing field construction during project execution.
Requirements:
o Extensive expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems
o Strong organizational and prioritization skills, paying attention to detail
o Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
o Basic knowledge of relevant MEP codes for projects
o Well-rounded understanding of various construction disciplines
o Previous experience working with MEP subcontractors and contracts
o Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in MEP coordination
o Previous experience as a PM, Quality Control, or MEP Superintendent on medium to large projects ($20M+) is mandatory
o Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred
Essential Job Duties:
o Lead the coordination and 3D modeling process for MEP systems
o Assist in developing detailed schedules for MEP activities
o Oversee the performance of MEP trade partners on the project
o Manage the quality assurance and quality control process for MEP systems installation, commissioning, and start-up
o Review MEP materials and equipment before installation
o Manage the procurement process for MEP activities
o Assist the superintendent in developing the overall project plan regarding MEP activities
o Coordinate work with subcontractors to ensure compliance with project scope and specifications
