Growing CPA firm with locations in Scottsdale and Chandler, Arizona is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager specializing in Estate and Trust Tax.

Job responsibilities:

• Assisting with estate planning, gift tax planning, retirement plan distributions, charitable giving techniques, gifting limitations, transfer tax equivalent credits, generational skipping transfers, split gifting, spousal trusts, and education and medical gifting.
• Overseeing and signing tax returns, as well as managing projects related to individuals, partnerships, and S corporations
• Providing tax planning and consulting services to individuals and businesses
• Preparing fiduciary income tax returns and conducting tax planning
• Researching and managing complex tax matters
• Supervising, training, and mentoring staff, seniors, and supervisors
• Serving as a technical resource and mentor
• Developing and expanding new business opportunities
• Maintaining and nurturing existing client relationships
• Building networks and establishing relationships with referral sources
• Consulting with clients, gathering information, resolving problems, and recommending solutions

Required Background:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required (Master's in Tax is a plus)
• At least 10 years of tax experience in public accounting
• Active CPA license
• Management experience in a public accounting firm
• Ability to work effectively as part of a client service team
• Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple assignments within deadlines
• Professionalism, dependability, integrity, trustworthiness, and a cooperative attitude
• Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
