We are Currently Seeking a Senior Underwriting Counsel with Expertise in Title Insurance to Join a Prominent National Title Insurance Company...

Responsibilities:

• Offer underwriting support, guidance, and approval to company staff and clients in relation to the issuance of real estate title insurance commitments and policies
• Employ underwriting standards and guidelines within authorized limits to evaluate and approve title insurance
• Provide assistance and direction to company personnel involved in real estate settlement services
• Develop and implement underwriting standards and guidelines according to established company procedures

Qualifications:

• Must hold a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
• Active Georgia law license in good standing
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in title underwriting, preferably in the commercial sector
• Thorough knowledge of real estate law, including federal and Georgia state regulations
• Comprehensive understanding of the key principles, practices, and procedures of real estate title and the settlement process
• Advanced analytical skills and strong business acumen
• Excellent negotiation abilities and the capacity to present alternative solutions or convey challenging information tactfully
• Ability to collaborate effectively and make decisive decisions; develop relationships both internally and externally
• Superior listening, verbal, and written communication skills
• Outstanding organizational talents, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and follow up promptly
• Creative problem-solving skills

The salary range provided represents a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Compensation is determined based on various factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business needs, and location factors.
