Senior HRIS Analyst (Workday)
Our client, a decentralized manufacturing company currently implementing Workday, is looking to add a Senior Workday HRIS Analyst to their growing team. We are seeking an experienced professional with multiple Workday deployments under their belt, who can support the system's administration, optimization, and overall performance to enhance HR operations.
Position Summary:
The Senior Workday HRIS Analyst is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the Workday platform, ensuring system efficiency, data integrity, compliance, and exceptional end-user support. This role works closely with HR leadership and IT partners to drive system enhancements, process improvements, and successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:

Administer and configure Workday HRIS, including business processes, workflows, security profiles, and custom fields.

Customize and optimize multiple Workday modules, including Core HR, Advanced Compensation, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Benefits, and Reporting.

Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, and recommend/implement solutions.

Partner with HR teams to gather requirements, recommend solutions, configure updates, test enhancements, and meet project timelines.

Create advanced reports (standard, composite, and matrix) and build dashboards for HR analytics and decision-making.

Provide training, technical support, and best practice guidance to HR staff and system users.

Maintain and troubleshoot integrations between Workday and related HR systems (e.g., payroll, time & attendance, benefits administration).

Lead HRIS projects, including system upgrades, feature rollouts, and new module implementations.

Manage system change requests, maintain documentation, and ensure strong change management practices.

Perform data audits, ensure data integrity, and lead clean-up initiatives.

Stay current with Workday trends and best practices; actively participate in Workday Community forums and training sessions.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.

5+ years of experience in Human Resources, HRIS, or related fields.

Minimum 3+ years of Workday experience across multiple functional areas: HCM, Benefits, Security, Absence, Time Tracking, and Reporting.

3–5 years of hands-on Workday HCM configuration and business process design experience; Workday HCM certification preferred.

2+ years of experience in data analysis, including building custom reports and dashboards using Workday Report Writer and Calculated Fields.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

Expertise in security configuration, including role- and user-based security and custom domain setup.

Experience with Workday EIB templates, data loading, and advanced data manipulation in Excel.

Strong technical troubleshooting skills, with a track record of identifying and resolving complex system issues.

Prior experience managing confidential HR data is required.

Previous consulting experience is a plus.
