Service Manager – Life Safety

We’re seeking a Service Manager to lead operations at our local branch—driving customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and team performance in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Champion job site safety—own safety program compliance, training, auditing, and documentation.

  • Partner with sales to review job scopes, labor estimates, material costs, and profitability to support smart bidding.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing technician team—helping them grow through training, goal-setting, and performance reviews.

  • Build strong relationships with customers—ensuring project timelines are met and identifying new service opportunities.

  • Oversee project execution—assigning team members, managing equipment orders, and ensuring timely signoffs.

  • Monitor and manage inventory across trucks and the warehouse, working closely with inventory control staff.

  • Ensure all contracted maintenance and inspection commitments are completed on schedule.

  • Collaborate with scheduling and operational staff to optimize technician assignments and service delivery.

  • Proactively resolve customer concerns by partnering with internal teams and making client site visits.

  • Report weekly revenue, job status, and service performance to senior management.

  • Support fleet management and ensure company vehicles are well maintained.

  • Drive internal initiatives and take on special projects that improve our operations and customer experience.

What You Bring:

  • Associate’s degree or technical/trade school background in life safety systems (e.g., fire suppression, alarm, extinguisher, sprinkler, etc.).

  • 3–5 years of combined experience in sales/operations, including 2+ years in a field leadership role—service industry experience preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree a plus.

  • NICET Level 1 certification preferred.

  • Strong leadership background within the life safety industry is highly desirable.

  • Proven ability to engage, develop, and lead teams—along with strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Deep knowledge of industry codes and standards (e.g., NFPA).

  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
