Shift Supervisor
Position: Plant Supply Chain Shift Manager
Location: Knoxville, TN
The role of the Plant Supply Chain Shift Manager involves overseeing specific operational areas within the plant. These areas encompass various functions including receiving and preparing raw materials, performing fill and close seaming processes, handling thermal retort processes, and managing labeling and product shipments. A crucial aspect of this role is the continuous analysis of key metrics such as cost, quantity, timeliness, safety, and productivity on a daily basis.
In addition to the analysis of performance measures, the Plant Supply Chain Shift Manager is responsible for collaborating with teams to create operating and capital budgets that align with short-term and long-term objectives. This collaborative effort aims to ensure optimal resource allocation and achievement of desired outcomes.
Fostering the development and motivation of direct reports is also a key responsibility of the Plant Supply Chain Shift Manager. This includes employing effective leadership and communication principles to guide and inspire team members towards achieving organizational goals.
