5+ years of direct site civil design experience.

Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Biosystems/Agricultural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.

Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification.

Experience designing lift stations, booster pump stations, pipelines, and water/wastewater treatment facilities.

A growing Water Design Center based in Greenville is looking for a Site Civil Engineer – Water to lead civil site design efforts for the expansion, improvement, and development of water and wastewater treatment plants. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of process, mechanical, structural, and electrical engineers to deliver custom, high-quality solutions for municipalities facing evolving infrastructure needs and regulatory challenges.
What You’ll Do:

Lead a team of designers to produce detailed civil design plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects.

Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to develop comprehensive, operationally efficient site plans.

Perform and review hydrologic and hydraulic calculations to support grading and drainage designs.

Develop yard piping plans based on hydraulic modeling to optimize piping alignments throughout facilities.
-
Coordinate with local authorities on stormwater management, floodplain compliance, grading, and permitting.

Assist project teams in navigating local development standards and permit requirements.

Recommend construction sequencing and contribute to construction phase services.

Develop construction criteria and operational guidelines for treatment plants.

Mentor and train civil team members to support their technical and professional growth.

Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D software.

Experience designing lift stations, booster pump stations, pipelines, and water/wastewater treatment facilities.

Experience working collaboratively with structural, building mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines.

Expertise in developing erosion and sedimentation control plans.

Active participation in local professional organizations.
