Position Overview:
As a Site Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical execution of a variety of civil engineering projects. These may include municipal infrastructure, residential development, and site work design. This role involves working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. Occasional travel will be required to document existing site conditions.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and execute medium-scale civil engineering projects from planning through construction

Perform engineering calculations and design work in alignment with project specifications

Prepare technical reports, correspondence, and project documentation

Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure project goals and timelines are met

Oversee and coordinate design, procurement, and construction activities
-
Read and interpret engineering plans and specifications for large-scale site projects
-
Assist in project budgeting, scheduling, staffing forecasts, and resource planning
-
Support contract negotiations, change orders, and third-party coordination
-
Conduct feasibility studies, trade-off analyses, and engineering reviews
-
Ensure projects comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements

Review consultant designs and technical documentation for completeness and accuracy

Prepare and present reports to management, clients, and regulatory agencies
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
-
5–10 years of civil design experience
-
NCEES certification (required)
-
CFM certification (preferred)
-
Experience in water, wastewater, gas, electric, and hydraulics projects
-
Strong familiarity with civil design and industry standards
-
Ability to prepare accurate project proposals and fee estimates
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Willingness and ability to travel overnight (by car and/or air) as needed
-
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite
